Wouldn’t it be great if we took good advice the first time we heard it? I decided to try painting a portrait of my kids. Good advice from the pros:  make sure you have the shapes right first and establish the structure of the skull before you paint the features. Of course, I did the opposite. I was painting the pupils of eyes in a face with the wrong proportions. So I scrapped it and started over. Better this time, but I might give it a third try someday. I learned a lot from my mistakes. Maybe now that I take good advice, I’ll listen to my husband and fill my gas tank sooner. Here is the finished product the portrait, round two. My fabulous twosome in an Irish pub in Sienna, Italy. All grown up!
